The Advanced Surgical and Prosthetic Master of Oral Implantology Program is an elite, post-graduate educational experience offered exclusively by the California Implant Institute (CII) in academic collaboration with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). This comprehensive program is carefully structured for general dentists as well as dental specialists—including prosthodontists, periodontists, and endodontists—who seek to develop, refine, or expand their clinical expertise in modern implant dentistry.
The program emphasizes the acquisition of essential surgical and prosthetic implant skills grounded in strong scientific principles, enabling participants to deliver predictable, safe, and efficient implant treatments in clinical practice. Through a balanced blend of theory and hands-on training, participants gain a deep understanding of implant diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical execution, and prosthetic rehabilitation.
Participants benefit from an immersive educational model that integrates advanced didactic lectures with extensive hands-on experience. The curriculum includes cadaver-based surgical training, live-patient surgical procedures, and comprehensive prosthetic workflows. Instruction is delivered by a distinguished international faculty, supplemented by guest lecturers who are recognized leaders in implant dentistry. In addition, the collaborative learning environment allows participants to exchange clinical insights and experiences with peers from around the world.
The post-graduate certificate program is composed of seven structured modules, each designed to build progressive competency:
- In-class didactic and lecture-based education
- Hands-on cadaver surgical training
- Supervised live-patient surgical implant training
- Implant prosthodontics and restorative workflows
- Oral sedation certification training
- CAD/CAM technology and computer-guided implant dentistry
- Academic and research-based education module
